Palm Springs has grown immensely over the decade or so and now the other cities like Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and Indio all offer plenty of quality restaurants for your dining experience. You might think of Palm Springs as a region full of retirees that dine out at 5 PM nightly leaving you plenty of seating at 7 PM but that is not necessarily true. On several recent trips to the desert I have found restaurants packed with people of all ages and doing incredible business. With more and more events like the Pacific Life Open Tennis tournament and Nabisco LPGA golf tournament this region is thriving with tourism and weather is attracting more families than ever. The nice thing is that the area has grown along with the tourism and now when you travel up and down Highway 111 or venture onto major side roads like Fred Waring or Bob Hope there are dozens more restaurants to choose from
