Within Disneyland, one of the best restaurants to enjoy is the Blue Bayou. The Blue Bayou looks out over the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The menu focuses on spicy cajun style food, but the ambience is what you come for at the Blue Bayou. Whether you have lunch or dinner, you feel like you are enjoying an evening on the bayou, with fireflies, crickets, and a sliver moon overhead. The lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu, so many people opt to save time and money by grabbing a lunch at the Blue Bayou instead of dinner at the BLue Bayou (the atmosphere is the same in both cases, as it appears to be evening time 24 hours per day in this Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant). You can get reservations for Blue Bayou by calling 714-781-DINE (3463). All the restaurants take Disney Dollars for payment, so if you got that as part of your Disney vacation package, use it anywhere in the park! So call 1 year in advance if you are really hot about dining here - otherwise take your chances. You might get a lunch reservation if you show up right when the park opens, but dinner reservations at the Blue Bayou will normally be booked when you arrive first thing in the morning.

There are a number of popular restaurants in Disneyland. If you can't get into the Blue Bayou, consider these: Look into the character meals that might be offered with any Disney Vacation packages you purchased. The Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland is another fun spot, with a live music show. Hidden above Orleans Square is the members only Club 33 - if you don't know how to get into here, don't ask... Keep in mind that Downtown Disney also has a host of good restaurants - check out Catal Restaurant, La Brea Bakery, Naples Ristorante, or the Rainforest Cafe. The Rainforest is always crowded and they dont take reservations, so plan on showing up an hour or more ahead of time and get on the waiting list (they will give you a beeper).
