Harrah's Hotel and Casino is a huge gaming corporation that is now known as "Harrah's Entertainment". The last few years have been instrumental for Harrah's as they have grown and bought places like The Rio Hotel here in Las Vegas. If you have never stayed at a Harrah's property you definitely need to treat yourself and take a vacation to one of their top travel destinations. I have stayed at Harrah's in Laughlin, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe, but my favorite was definitely Las Vegas. Although I might be biased towards Vegas because I live here, the casino environment on Las Vegas Blvd. is a sight to see and truly one of a kind. Harrah's also has properties in New Orleans, Reno, and Tunica, all of which had great reviews online and are probably a whole lot fun for any traveler. Harrah's is now the largest gaming company in the world with yearly revenues reaching over $7 billion (a truly astonishing number). The company started out in 1937 as a small bingo hall out of Reno, Nevada and has grown in leaps and bounds ever since. Over the years Harrah's has put a high priority on customer service and employee satisfaction, 2 things that are greatly responsible for their continued success. We did a brief review on the top Harrah's properties below and hopefully our research will help make your travel plans a little easier. Remember to book your trip early because it can save you a ton of $ and don't gamble more than you can afford to lose - gambling is supposed to be entertainment and nothing more.
Harrah's Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe Nevada:
Harrah's Casino & Hotel in Lake Tahoe is a great place to bring your family or to visit by yourself if you enjoy swimming, gambling, eating, concerts, and just having a good time. Located just minutes from the south shores of Lake Tahoe, Harrah's is a nighttime playground set in a very natural environment. I grew up going to Lake Tahoe as a kid (I lived in San Jose, CA) and it's truly a beautiful place. Harrah's Lake Tahoe has offer 500 hotel rooms, a spa, pool, 8 dining restaurants, and world class gaming and entertainment. The hotel itself is only 18 stories high (small by todays standards), but when you are in Tahoe you never really seem to be indoors because it's so relaxing outside. Harrah's Lake Tahoe offers all the standard amenities you would expect like a salon, shopping, gambling, live entertainment, wedding services, and of course table games for you to try your luck on. We found some great deals on their website where you can book a luxury room for right around $100 a night and believe me it's worth every penny to visit Lake Tahoe - it's truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. If you like to snow ski then you should try to visit in the winter because they have great skiing within 45 minutes like Heavenly, Squaw Valley, and Incline Village.
Harrah's Hotel/Casino Las Vegas:
Are you planning a trip to Las Vegas? Harrah's Casino in Vegas is awesome and on one of my favorite hotels in the entire city. Harrah's is located between the Venetian and The Flamingo, while it sits across the street from The Mirage and Treasure Island. The Las Vegas location is definitely the nicest Harrah's Casino and it has an impressive list of things to do like see Wayne Newton or Rita Rudner. They also have the standard activities like a pool, spa, health club, beauty salon, and restaurants (we recommend you try the steak house). If you like music and drinking then you have to visit their piano bar which is located in the front of the casino near Las Vegas Blvd, I've been there numerous times and it's always a blast. If you visit Las Vegas in the summer when temperatures reach 118 degrees you are going to want to use the pool facilities so bring your swimsuit. Harrah's Las Vegas has over 2500 hotel rooms and suites that come with everything you would expect in a high class place. You can always visit their website at Harrahs.com or you can call 800-214-9110 to speak directly with a representative. We found deals on their hotel rooms for just $55 a night and up which is a great bargain any night of the week in Las Vegas. Harrah's also has a monorail stop located in the back of their casino near the Toby Keith bar so if you want to avoid seeing Vegas in the heat ride the monorail.

Harrahs Casino in Reno is a very nice place and definitely worth checking out if you are going on vacation. Summertime events are planned around the pool/spa and of course the golf courses in the area. We found rooms starting at just $59 per night online, and you can find all the details at www.harrahs.com/casinos/harrahs-reno/hotel-casino/property-home.shtml. Their website is easy to use and covers everything from planning a wedding, playing table games, to buying a golf package. Harrah's Reno offers a 60,000 sq ft casino and over 900 rooms that are available for tourists looking to get lucky. Reno is a relaxing city, but Harrahs makes you feel very spoiled by offering food choices in the casino like sushi, noodle bar, Italian, and steak restaurants. Laughlin, NV is about 90 miles from Las Vegas and is located on the Colorado River (where you can rent boats, jet skis, or just enjoy sitting by the water). Harrah's in Laughlin is a beautiful property and has all the table games and entertainment that you could ask for. The hotel offers all the amenities that any traveler could want (hair dryer, cable tv, internet, spa, beach pool) and we found rooms from $45 a night on the Harrah's website. Laughlin is about 1 1/2 hours outside of Vegas and borders Arizona, but it's very relaxing and not crowded which makes it a great vacation destination.
