Their fleet of cars includes vehicles like the Toyota Corolla, Ford Taurus, Nissan 350Z, Chevrolet Corvette, Buick LaCrosse, Ford Focus, and Hyundai Accent. Not all cars are available at every location, but be sure to ask if you want a specialty car like a minivan or convertible. I have found that Hertz charges more than the other rental car companies at many of the locations I fly into for business and pleasure. I always hunt down the best discount codes to receive the lowest possible rates on their rentals. The thing I do like about Hertz is that they are in practically every major airport in the U.S., Canada, and Europe making the rental process as easy as possible on the customer. Their customer service is excellent and they always help me with directions, changing reservations, and getting out of the airport as quick as possible.
Booking a Hertz Car online?:Renting a car should be simple enough, you call their 800 # or book through the website, pick up your car and drive off. Not all rental companies work the same and certainly their club memberships vary greatly in terms of benefits and features. When you rent from any rental car company don't go with their supplemental insurance for like $10/day unless you know for sure you are not covered by your personal car insurance or credit card company. Also, be sure to fill up the gas tank when you return the car to save the most $$. We prefer to rent right off of Hertz.com and see what their "special deals" are at the time. If you join their email newsletter this is another way to get informed of their best rates. With the average rental car daily rental fee of about $30 to $40, it can help to check into discounts or coupons to save a few bucks. Hertz rents compact, mid-size, full-size, convertibles, minivans, SUVs, and sports ars in some locations. Sites like Expedia or Travelocity let you quickly compare rates between the leading rental car companies like Alamo, National, Avis, Budget, and Enterprise with the click of your mouse.Coupons and Discount Codes:When it comes to saving money on your rental car, we prefer to go HERE. This site offers discounts, promo codes, and coupons for renting a car from Hertz. Some are associated with either being a member of Hertz #1 Club or Hertz #1 Club Gold. You will find coupons for $20 off weekly rentals, $35 off weekly rentals, and $15 off weekend rates. Southwest Airlines has some great partner deals they offer through Hertz as well. Marriott Rewards has e-coupon codes you can use to reduce your rental fees too. Check out Mousesavers.com whenever you rent and try to become a member to increase your chances of discounted rates. I recently signed up with Allstate Insurance and they sent me some great promo codes in the mail for Hertz including a one car class upgrade plus discount, and multiple weekly or weekend coupon codes. If you are a AAA Member then check when you are booking your rental for the cheapest rates.Hertz #1 Club Gold:Hertz offers 2 membership services - the Hertz #1 Club and the Hertz #1 Club Gold. The regular club is free to join and gives you things like faster reservations and rentals, special savings on rentals, and shorter lines at the airport or rental counters. As for Hertz #1 Club Gold membership, it's $60 and you need to be 25 years old. The benefits are definitely big for being a #1 Club Gold member with ZERO waiting at check-out counters, you just go straight to your car. You also are assured of getting the best cars available at the time of rental. Business travelers have considered the Hertz Gold Club the best frequent car rental club around and now even those traveling for leisure are signing up for the benefits as well. You can sign up online at Hertz.com and enter your pertinent info to get the fastest and best rates online.
