Knotts Berry Farm California:If you are visiting southern California for a vacation to Disneyland don't forget that Knotts Berry Farm is a nice alternative to Disney. First a little background on the theme park. It was started way back in 1940 by the Knott family and peaked out in the 1970's and early 80's. I went with my family quite a few times as we traveled from the Bay Area down to Los Angeles on family vacations. Knotts Berry Farm is only about 10 minutes from Disneyland and ticket prices are less than those you would pay at Disneyland. I remember the log ride at Knotts that we would ride over and over again on the hot days of summer. The park has lost some of it's popularity over the years but it still exists and offers good value compared to other theme parks. The park has roller coasters, water rides, kiddie rides, entertainment shows, and lots more to keep your busy all day.
Knotts Berry Farm Coupons:The good news is that you don't have to pay full price to go to Knotts Berry Farm (KBF) since there are lots of promotions and coupons offered through AAA, Albertsons, and other sources. The official website for KBF has a special promotions page where you can get details on coupons http://www.knotts.com/hot/index.asp. Regular gate prices are about $50 for adults but you can save up to $20 on admission with a coupon offered at participating Albertson's in southern California. If you buy your ticket online you can also save $20 with a promotion that Knotts runs.
