Top Romantic Destinations - Hawaii - Venice - New York City - The Caribbean Islands:What do you think of when you consider a romantic destination? Perhaps a Central Park carriage ride in the winter with snow all around or a dinner for 2 on the sandy beaches of warm, inviting Hawaii. Everyone probably has their favorites, but the best romantic getaway destinations that always come up on the top 10 list are Hawaii, Venice, New York City, the Caribbean, British Columbia, Florence, and Paris. Having done the Paris trip on whim, I can tell you that France is perfect for great food, wine and romantic flair. The city of Paris is all about people enjoying themselves and romantic getaways are very popular in the city. Another spot that comes to mind is San Francisco. All major cities offer "romantic packages" with their hotels. You can ride on the cable cars, see Fisherman's Whorf and relax at one of the many superb restaurants in the city.
Island Getaways:Hawaii or the Caribbean are the two most traveled destinations for romantic island getaways. Hawaii offers Maui, Lanai, Kauai, Oahu, and the main island of Hawaii with a variety of hotels, Bed and Breakfast and Inns to choose from. The Hawaiian islands are ideal year round which makes them perfect. Weather in the 80's and beautiful sunsets against the ocean backdrop. We suggest Kauai and specifically the Princeville Resort with it's private grounds and beaches and award winning restaurants. The rooms are spectacular and the whole experience is one to remember. As for the Caribbean islands, there are literally dozens to choose from. St John is our favorite in the US Virgin Islands. Not more than a 2 hour flight from Miami, you fly into St. Thomas and take a romantic boat trip or helicopter ride to the island of St. John. With only a few resorts on the island surrounded by a national park and waters so clear you'll want to snorkel all day, St John is perfect for a romantic weekend. If you live near a major city like Boston, drive in for a night and stay at a luxury hotel that offers romantic packages and rejuvenate your relationship. We all need some romantic moments in our lives and it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to get it. As mentioned below, an overnight trip to the coast is cheap and inexpensive enough (perhaps $200 total) to get the romantic candlelit dinner and oceanview room with jetted tub. Sometimes the most romantic gestures are the littlest things like roses or a hand written poem.

Will it be surprise? If you have more time and money, then consider a trip to Hawaii or Europe for a romantic interlude.
