Where can I get free motorola ringtones?:If you go to the Motorola website, they have a section for downloads and ringtones. Go into the download ringtones area of the site and look at their online catalog of 2000+ ringtones from artists like Moby, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Linkin Park, 50 Cent, Coldplay and many more. To get ringtones you purchase, you must currently be able to receive text messages and have data services enabled on your phone. You choose your wireless carrier, then the phone you have and then choose the ringtones. The ringtones are about $2/each.
How are ringtones delivered to my phone?:Ringtones will be downloaded to your phone over the air, without wires or cables. Select and purchase your new ringtone. After your purchase, you will receive a text message on your phone with a web link. Press the menu button to open the Text Message menu. Scroll to and select Go To from your text-messaging menu to launch the browser and begin the download. Follow the installation instructions to store your ring tone. You will have the option to set your ring tone as your default ring tone right away, or to store it to your Ring Styles menu for future use. To use your new ringtone, select it from your list of tones under the Styles menu.What is a good ringtone web site?:There are download services only setup just for ringtones to your cell phone. They offer 1000's of ringtones, many in monthly plans. Jamster offers plans starting at $5.99 month for various downloads. DADAmobile has a monthly plan that is $9.99. Dirty Hippo is another online ringtone web site which has monthly subscriptions for ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers, and themes for your cell phone. Keep in mind that all these services are recurring billing, which means they essentially lie hidden on your cell phone bill and recur every month UNTIL you cancel them.
What Motorola phones allow ringtones?:All the latest model of phones offer ringtone capability. You must currently be able to receive text messages and have data services enabled on your phone. If you cannot currently receive text messages, or browse the Internet on your phone you may need to enable these services with your carrier. The following phone model through Cingular offer ringtone services: 12T, V60i GSM, T720 GSM, T721 GSM, V400 GSM, MPX 200, V600 GSM, V180, V55i, V3, MPx 220, V505, V220, V3, V173, and the ROKR E1.
