Where can I get free Nokia ringtones?:Go to the Nokia website (Nokiausa.com), to get started. Pick your carrier and cell phone model. To receive Nokia polyphonic ring tones, color graphics, games and software, your service plan must include a feature called General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). Please contact your service provider if you are unsure that your phone has this feature. You get a menu for ringtones to choose from - 80's, 90's, genre, holidays, rap, hip hip, top 10. Ringtones cost $1.99.
How are ringtones delivered to my Nokia phone?:Ringtone download instructions from the Nokia website: After completing your purchase, an SMS message is sent to your phone that includes the URL for downloading the application. The message will be found in the 'Service Inbox'. To access the 'Service Inbox' select 'Menu' on your phone then scroll to and select the 'Services' option. From the 'Service Inbox', download the ring tone by highlighting the message you received and then selecting 'Options'. Within 'Options' select 'Download'. A message will be presented indicating that the connection to the URL is being established. A screen will be presented that will include the name of the ring tone you purchased. Select 'Options' and then select 'Open link' to download the ring tone to your phone. A message will be displayed that the ring tone has been received. Select 'Options' then scroll to and select 'Save tone'. Select 'OK' and select a folder to save your ring tone.What is a good ringtone web site?:The Nokia website is a good place to start for ringtones. Other popular ringtones sites include the Cingularextras.com website, EZ-Tracks, or Qtones. All these sites offer the same type of monthly subscription service where you can select ringtones, screensavers, wallpapers, etc and have them downloaded to your phone via text messages.
What Nokia phones allow ringtones?:All the latest model of phones offer ringtone capability. If you cannot currently receive text messages, or browse the Internet on your phone you may need to enable these services with your carrier. The following phone models through Cingular offer ringtone services: Nokia 8890, 8290, 8265i, 8265, 8260, 7210, 7160, 6800, 6590i, 6560, 6310i, 6200, 3200, 3300, 3360, 3390, 3560, 3590, 3600, 3620, 3650.
