Metro PCS Wireless Service:

Metro PCS is an up and coming niche wireless company, much like Cricket Wireless. They offer something called the Metro PCS Advantage which is roughly $40/month and you get all the calls you can make anytime and domestic long distance is thrown in as well. There are no contracts, no activation fees, no hassles. It's an all digital network with lots of choices on phone plans with new phones, ringtones, games, and more. The fact that you get a flat rate for the entire month of calling should be enough to consider Metro PCS, but you also get unlimited text messaging, unlimited directory assistance, and you keep your existing cell phone #. The services are not in all areas, but you can check the latest coverage by checking on their website at http://www.metropcs.com/coverage/coverageareas.php. They currently offer large metro areas like Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas, and Detroit. For $45 you can get unlimited local and long distance minutes. The Metro PCS website is loaded with details on all the phones, plans, and downloads available, so visit now to find out the latest deals. The Metro Downloads section has information on games, tones, pics, and other downloadables. The Metro PCS downloads site is located at http://downloads.metropcs.com/index.php and tells you how to download and purchase the add-ons for your cell phone.

Metro PCS Ringtones:

Metro PCS ringtones and applications can be found online at http://downloads.metropcs.com/tones.php. It's loaded with NFL Tones, Barrio Mobile Tones, Bling Tones, DeadRingers, Crazy Frog, Def Jam Beatz, Flix Tones, NCAA Fight Song ringtones, Retrotones, Masttones, Country Ringtones and more. The NFL ringtones are new and offer ringtones from your favorite teams as well as graphics. The Barrio Mobile Tones section has chart favorites from Reggaeton to Pop to Salsa. Hip-Hop ringtones are available in the Blingtones section and cost $1.99. Are you a Grateful Dead fan, then go to the DeadRingers area for polyphonic ringtones. Masttones is ringtones with the music of India and the Retrotones take you back to the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. I prefer their Rock Tones section with metal, punk and alternative music that really makes your phone rock. A popular one for all customers is the FlixTones which covers ringtones from famous movies like Office Space or Tommy Boy. Most ringtones we saw are about $2 and come down in price when you purchase them in bulk.

Metro PCS Phones - How to Download to your Cell Phone:

Metro PCS has a wide choice in cell phone from manufacturers like Audiovox, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung. Once you have a Metro PCS enable phone, you can order ringtones online or directly from the phone you are using. The download is sent right to your cell phone and you are billed right to your Metro PCS monthly bill. You can access the ringtones once they are delivered to your cell phone and use them as much as you like. We recommend checking with your cell phone manufacturer on how many ringtones it will store before you purchase too many. They have an excellent section of the ringtone area dedicated to the Nokia Ringtones available for the phones so be sure to check that out as well. They appear to only cost $1/ringtone through the Nokia area.

How much are Metro PCS ringtones? Cost?:

It all depends on where you download the ringtone from. There are services online that give you a much cheaper deal than buying directly from the wireless carrier. These ringtone shops online work with the carriers and cell phone manufacturers to offer you lots of popular ringtones at discounted prices. The big catch with most online ringtone websites are that they require an ongoing monthly fee that gets slapped on your wireless bill no matter what you download each month. Be careful when signing up with these Internet ringtone sites since we have heard of many customer complaints that originate from the monthly billing charge unless you cancel the service. Ringtones should be no more than $1.00 each and some new software like Xingtone runs on your computer and you can copy sound clips from your own CD's and transfer the music to your phone to use as a ringtone for free. Check with your local Metro PCS store or cellphone manufacturer to determine which tones are available for your particular wireless phone.
