New Cingular Phones for 2006-2007: Razor - Motorola V557 - Nokia 6061 - Samsung C207:

Cingular currently offers about 25 different phones from all the top manufacturers. Their most popular remains the RazR V3 from Motorola. Many of the current deals offer 2 free Cingular Razor phones with a family plan package. Cell phones are usually given away with rebates and discounts when you sign up for a 2 year plan. You can get a good phone without having to buy it in most cases. You can get the Motorola V557, Nokia 6061, LG C2000, Nokia 6102, and the Samsung C207 for free with a 2 year contract. With the everchanging technology of phones and plans, at least it's easy to get what you want and not have to pay too much.

Other popular phones offered on Cingular Plans are the LG C1500, Samsung X497, Nokia 6030, LG F7200, Sony Ericsson Z520a, LG CG300, Samsung D357, LG F9200, Motorola RAZR V3 - Silver, LG CU320 (Video/3G), Samsung ZX10 (Video/3G), Samsung D307, Motorola SLVR L7, Motorola RAZR V3 - Pink, Sony Ericsson W600i , Cingular 2125, Nokia 9300, Palm Treo 650. You can get all the latest rate and phone plan information online at Cingular.com. They highlight the popular phones, have weekly specials on family plans, and offer ringtones for download.

Cingular Go Phones:

Cingular created the Go Phones so that you don't have to worry about contracts, credit checks and deposits. The Cingular Go Phone starts at $29.99/month or pay in advance for the minutes you need. It's easy, just pick which option fits your calling patterns better. Both Pay As You Go and Pick your Plan Go Phones have no long term contracts and you get unlimited mobile to mobile calls to Cingular customers. There is a Rollover Balance which lets you carry over unused funds. You can cancel your plan anytime with no fees having to be paid. The Cingular Go Phone gives you the ultimate freedom with your cell phone choices. The Pick a Plan option is probably the better deal, but it all depends on how often you use the phone, so do a little research and don't worry since you can cancel anytime.

Where can I get used Cingular phones?:

Since cell phones are almost free when you sign up with a plan at your local Cingular store or online, buying a used Cingular phone doesn't always make sense unless you can get a discounted price on a phone that costs $200+ (like the Pink Razor). CellPhoneShop.com is a good place to start. They carry pre-owned cell phones from AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Nextel, Alltel, Cricket, Virgin Mobile and many more smaller carriers. They claim you can get phones for up to 80% off.

Best Cingular Camera Phone:

Cingular offers some good quality camera phones from a variety of manufacturers. We found the Motorola V557 and LG C2000 to be the best camera phones, although even their images were not very good quality when put on a computer screen. Most people just pass the pictures back and forth across cell phones so image clarity is not an issue, but if you want to actually view the pictures you take on your Cingular camera phone, then try to find a camera phone with more than 1.3 megapixel capability. Most regular digital cameras are all 4 megapixel and above so you can understand why images taken on cell phones tend to be blurry and hard to make out sometimes. The new video phones are prone to the same issue of jerky motion and fuzzy pictures.

How do I get ringtones on my Cingular phone?

Getting ringtones delivered right to your Cingular cellular phone is easy these days. Just go to the main Cingular.com website and click on the Tones and Graphics section or you can also join a ringtone specific website like DadaMobile.com, Jamster.com, Katazo.com or UnlimitedRingTones.com. Usually ringtones and graphics cost about $1-$2/each and you can save money by subscribing to a monthly package that lets you get more ringtones for a cheaper cost per ringtone. There are also new Answer Tones available on the Cingular site. New software is also coming online where you can create your own ringtones from your own music. Give it a try at EasyRingtoneMaker.com.
