Free Agent

By far the best Usenet newsgroup reader. If you have ever been interested in reading the newsgroups (those alt.computer things...), make sure you use Free Agent (this is the freeware version, Agent is the registered version) to get started. This is an easy to use, well-organized newsreader. The upper left pane shows the available news groups - just click a group and wait a few seconds while new articles and postings are loaded into the right upper pane. Click the posting you wish to view, and it is loaded into the bottom window. A built-in decoder makes it easy to instantly view any graphic files you download, without having to use an external decoder (ie, it's easy to use!). You are able to ignore or watch certain threads, post your own messages to any or multiple groups, and use Agent as an offline reader that logs on only to pick up your indicated preferences, then logs off. All in all, this is a powerful program, that even a beginner can use. We highly recommend it.
