Free Space

Get more space on your hard-drive without losing programs. Free Space is an excellent program for acquiring more space on your hard drive without losing the programs that you already have on your system. The QuickSpace selection lets you decide how much more free space you need on a particular drive and then Free Space will give you a list of files that will be compressed so that the necessary free space will now be available. You can then have the program compress those folders down in size to free up the disk space that you requested. If you ever want to open those files back up again, just use the decompress function. Much like the compression function, when you decompress folders, you choose the folders that are available to decompress and let Free Space do the rest. The Free Space Analyzer will give you a Tree format with your drives and directories listed with the actual disk space in blue and the possible compressed space in green. This is very helpful for quickly deciding which directories are best for clearing up large amounts of space. The Disk Checkup function lets you quickly scan your hard drives to make sure that all compressed files are valid and in good condition.
