Piano Professor

Play the piano with this educational program. Learning how to play the piano just became a lot easier with this great tutorial called Piano Professor. Start with the "Keyboard Teacher" and learn all about sharps, flats, middle C, octaves, the white keys and the black keys. You can click on each topic and a small pop-up window will appear with a full description of what it is and what it will do. The next section to look at should be the "note tutor". In the shareware version you must use the octave starting at Middle C, but by pointing the small finger on each key, you will learn the name, location on the sheet music and sound of each. Once you have mastered the various keys and their locations go to the Chord Encyclopedia section and have Piano Professor teach you the basics of major chords. Again, you will see and hear each chord. As your knowledge of the music progresses, give the Name That Note area a try. See how much you have learned and go back for further help if you need it. Piano Professor does an excellent job of helping you learn with both audio and visual teaching techniques. This program is meant for kids or adults.
