Populous

Unique 3-D world conquering

In Populous, your goal is simply to become a god. You begin as a shaman and you must assemble and control your tribes of warriors and preachers as you conquer a unique rotating 3-D world. You accumulate awesome spells, like lightning, tornadoes, and earthquakes, which you can use against your unsuspecting enemies. The game interface has great graphics and a very cool globe-like setting, which revolves from under you as you explore new areas, so you do not have to scroll back and forth as you want to move -- just walk, and the world rotates under your feet as new areas appear over any horizon. This demo version includes only the tutorial and 3 single player levels.
